A beautiful game that fits so well in the pantheon of your terrifying cosmic horror universe. I loved the exploration part and the gameplay was so much fun, nothing felt clunky, everything fit. The writing is exceptional but that’s no surprise, it’s fantastic in all your games. I honestly think your games have some of the best writing I’ve seen in horror (indie and big budget). The soundtrack, sound cues and visuals are all so unnerving and creepy, the concept and design of grandpa is gorgeous. Just the way the little girl looks a tiny bit off, the way the food looks - it’s so beautifully twisted, I turned into a fangirl from the first second to the last. A stunning game.
Extremely excellent. Solid writing and themes with a lot of layers to them. Good visuals and strong use of 3D cg environments.
My only problem encountered was that the "teaching" minigame seemed to have some mouse issues, specifically registering clicks outside the window despite the pointer theoretically being captured. However I thought the added effort this took to overcome worked well with what was being represented, so it did not impact my enjoyment at all.
Absolute must-buy especially if you are familiar with Yames. I consider this their strongest showing yet.
Yames you did it again! I don't know how you manage to come up with so many weird and intricate concepts for your games. You're almost single-handedly carrying body horror in gaming. The only other amazing body horror game I can think of is Pumpkin Head and that's a visual novel. Anyway, the visuals in this game are amazing and as someone who tried to stay away from all the teases and videos on Patreon, it blew me away. It struck me as particularly ambitious of you to try all of these new things and in my opinion, it completely justifies the delays.
I hate to say that I can't wait for your next project because I have a rough idea of just how much work it is but I'm really excited to see what your brain comes up with next.
If I had any negative feedback to give, it's that the humming soundtrack during the trash pickup sequences gave me a headache. It just comes on too strong and feels much louder than a lot of the other tracks in the game. Combine those issues with the fact that a good chunk of the gameplay revolves around cleaning and I had a headache by the end of it. Wasn't that much of an issue because I could control the volume from my mixer, but it's still a bit too much IMO.
I just finished it, absolutely stellar work man! Huge fan of all your work but I think this might be my new favorite (at least until your next release lol) great job on everything, the writing, the atmosphere, and the visuals. So fuckin good!!
alright just got out of finishing the game absolutely fantastic, as I expected out of you your style and vibe translated perfectly through the jump to 3D, the gameplay had way more depth than i anticipated, and the plot/lore was as intriguing as all your previous entries, with a surprising amount of tenderness added to it for flavor
